The 2022 AMEA Professional Development Conference is scheduled for January 20 – 22 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC). The exhibits will be in the conveniently located BJCC East Ballroom. Please see the information below for details on how you can participate and support our conference! Online Exhibit Booth Registration

  • Use the interactive online registration system to conveniently select and pay for your booths.
  • You may also reserve advertising space in the conference program book, sponsor the conference app, exhibitor’s cocktail reception or President’s reception (see below).
  • The deadline to register is November 1.

Sponsor Exhibitors’ Cocktail Reception

  • AMEA will host an exhibitor’s cocktail reception in the exhibit hall with a coupon/cash bar and hors d’oeuvres Thursday from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
  • No other conference activities will be going on during this time.
  • We will promote our sponsors in the conference app, conference program book, social media, and signage placed around different areas of the venue.
  • Limit of eight (6) sponsors – $500.

Sponsor the Conference App

  • Put your logo and link front and center every time an attendee opens the conference app.
  • The main app page banner will alternate between the two sponsors.
  • Limit of two (2) sponsors – $750.

 

Sponsor the President’s Reception

  • AMEA will celebrate its 75th anniversary at the President’s cocktail reception Friday from 9:30 – 11:00 p.m. with musical entertainment, a coupon/cash bar, and hors d’oeuvres.
  • We will promote our sponsors in the conference app, conference program book, social media, and signage placed around different areas of the venue.
  • Limit of eight (6) sponsors – $500.

Exhibit Hall Schedule

Load-in

  • Wednesday, 1:00 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Thursday, 7:30 – 10:30 am.

Show Hours

  • Thursday, 10:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • Booths must remain open until 5:30 pm on Friday.

Exclusive Exhibit Times

  • The opening of the exhibits at 10:30 am Thursday.
  • The Exhibit Hall Reception hour at 4:30 pm on Thursday.
  • Each of AMEA’s six divisions has scheduled an exclusive exhibit hour spread throughout the two days.
  • The final hour on Friday will be exclusive exhibit time.

Load-out

  • Friday, 5:30 – 9:00 pm
  • Booths must remain open until 5:30 pm on Friday.

Exhibit Booth Information

Standard booths

  • Standard booths are 10’ wide x 8’ deep and include an 8’ high background drapery and 3’ high side divider drapery, one (1) company I.D. sign, one (1) 6’skirted table, two (2) side chairs, and one (1) wastebasket with liner.
  • Two (2) booth personnel/badges are included.
  • $360 per booth.

Large peninsula booths

  • Large peninsula booths (labeled A, B, C, D, and E on the map) with exposure on 3 sides are 20’ wide x 16’ deep and include an 8’ high background drapery, one (1) company I.D. sign, four (4) 6’skirted tables, up to eight (8) side chairs, and two (2) wastebaskets with liners.
  • Eight (8) booth personnel/badges are included.
  • $1600 per large peninsula booth (20’ x 16’).

  • More details will be emailed to you after you submit your registration as well as a link to order electrical, add-ons, etc.

Book Your Stay at the Conference Hotel

  • The AMEA Conference hotels are the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and the Westin Birmingham Hotel, both part of the BJCC complex.
  • AMEA’s room block is open now.
  • Book a room at the conference hotel.
  • Reservations made through this link will be in the Sheraton until sold out and then will be booked in the Westin.
  • The deadline to reserve a room in the AMEA block is December 29, 2021.

Become an Industry Member and Save $

Save big $ on advertising and sponsorship! You are cordially invited to become an industry/institutional member of the Alabama Music Educators Association. AMEA is a non-profit organization that provides in-service opportunities for its members and educational opportunities for the music students in our state. Active members include music educators at public and private K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and private music teachers. AMEA’s membership also includes college students preparing for careers in music education and retired members. Industry/institutional members assist in maintaining an open communication between AMEA active members and music dealers, educational institutions, musical organizations, clubs, other supportive groups and individuals having an involved interest in music education. Becoming an industry/institutional member gives all the rights and privileges of active members except the right to vote or hold office. Industry/institutional members are regarded by AMEA’s Board and membership as an elite group that extends beyond their businesses and services by being partners with the music education professionals who in turn support and patronize them. This is an opportunity to add YOUR name to the rolls as an industry member. AMEA’s membership year runs from July 1 through June 30.
