AMEA Conference Lobby Group Application

Teachers are encouraged to submit applications for small ensembles to perform in the lobby during an informal setting at the annual AMEA Professional Development Conference.

Timeline

  • Submissions Deadline: November 1.
  • Teachers Notified: by November 15.

Guidelines

  • Director/Faculty member submittig the application must be a current member of NAfME/AMEA at time of application.
  • Electricity nor applification may be used by Lobby Performance Ensembles.
  • Percussion ensembles and jazz bands/combos will not be considered. Mallet Percussion ensembles will be considered.
  • Fifteen chairs will be provided. No other equipment including music stands will be provided.
  • A piano will not be provide. 
  • Submission of an application assumes acceptance of the scheduled day and time. Individual requests for specifice days or times will be considered but not guaranteed.
  • Ensemble membership should not exceed 15 members. Recommended lobby groups: chamber groups such as brass, woodwind, string, vocal, guitar or mallet percussion.
