The Alabama Music Educators Association 2026 Professional Development Conference brought our membership together for an engaging and meaningful morning General Session and Friday evening Awards Ceremony. Both events captured important moments of leadership, service, and celebration within our association.
General Session – Friday, January 23, 2026
The AMEA General Session took place on Friday morning and addressed several key topics relevant to our membership. During the session, attendees received important updates regarding recent and upcoming legislative changes and announcement of the candidates selected by the AMEA Selection Committee to run for President-Elect of the Association.
Awards Ceremony – Friday Evening, January 23, 2026
Friday evening the AMEA Awards Ceremony, a time set aside to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of our members. Throughout the ceremony, a series awards were presented, honoring individuals whose dedication and service continue to strengthen music education throughout the state.
The ceremony reflected the heart of AMEA—recognition of excellence, appreciation for service, and gratitude for the many educators and leaders who go above and beyond for students and programs across Alabama.
