AMEA Governing Board Meeting
February 27, 2022

The AMEA Governing Board met on February 27, 2022 via Zoom. The meeting was called to
order at 4:00 p.m. by AMEA President David Raney. Present at the meeting: David Raney, Rob
Lyda, Greg Gumina, Garry Taylor, Carla Gallahan, Pat Stegall, Rusty Logan, Joel Henson, Sarah
McLendon, and Michael Zelenak.

The purpose of this meeting was to review proposals for the 2024 and 2025 AMEA Professional
Development Conference location.

Garry Taylor presented proposals from the conference venues in Montgomery, Birmingham, and
Huntsville. The Board discussed and voted on the proposals. The vote was unanimous to hold
the 2024 and 2025 AMEA Professional Development Conferences in Huntsville.

Garry Taylor also presented information regarding the GuideBook app used at our AMEA
Conference. A motion was made to extend the contract for the app for two years (Rob Lyda,
Greg Gumina). The Board voted unanimously to extend this contract for 2 years.

President Raney adjourned the meeting.
